Day 225, Sunday (superbowl) February 2, 2014

Julie and Dawson Stocking Island
Well the day starts out the way most mornings do, coffee in the cockpit.  Today we actually have plans, at 5 we are heading over to a resort on Stocking Island to watch the Super Bowl.  Should be fun as the  Seattle  Seahawks are playing and Dawson has been wearing a Seahawks baseball cap since the start of the trip. Not that he is a fan, it was a cap of Kevin's that he grabbed when we were heading out skiing back in February.
We spend the day hanging out on the boat.  Dawson  changes the oil in the yanmar engine and lo and behold it is lunch time and then time to head to shore.  It is a very simple life we lead.  We get to shore well before the start of the party so we go for a walk on the east side of Stocking Island.  It is truly a beautiful   beach, as most are, running about 5 kms in length.  We all enjoy the walk and then head back to St Francis for the game.  We arrive around 5 and the ticket booths are already set up by our fellow cruisers which makes it quicker for a drink with tickets, we buy our square on the score lotto and we are good to go.

Watching the superbowl
We are early for the kick off so we get a game of dominos from the bar and decide this would be a good way to spend some time as we wait.  It is Mexicn Train dominos which is different than we are used to so we seek some help from one of the neighbours.  By the end of the game we have 4 other people playing with us and have a great time.  At kick off we order our food and enjoy the game.  Dawson was definitely wearing the right cap for the day.
On the way back we learn how important in George Town it is to note where you are anchored.  It was dark when we left St. Francis we motor out to where our boat is anchored, but there are like 50 boats anchored in the general area. It is somewhat disconcerting to be sitting in a dinghy in the dark looking for ones boat.  We were in the right area and after a few minutes we spot a boat " wonderful" which we knew was anchored off our port bow and from that we figured out which one of the dark shapes was Jazzebelle.  Safely back on board we head off to bed
