Day 134, Sunday November 3rd
Yoga, and an 8:00 Bahamas meeting. Julie heads to the first and the guys to the
Bahamas meeting. A busy day today
getting ready for our departure tomorrow.
(The Bahamas group can get out before the BVI group as we are heading down the coast for 2 days before heading east across the Gulf stream). Once again a few groceries, and other provisions, filling water tanks,
changing the 130 foresail to the 110 forsail, plotting courses etc. etc. Dinner tonight will be on board as there are
no social activities planned outside of the weather briefing and happy hour
over at the Dawg House. Julie continues
to cook. Chili and a chicken casserole
are concocted and frozen. More snacks
are vacumn sealed and soon the sun is starting to set. We are all getting excited about the 5-6 day
pass to Bahamas we are undertaking. The
winds sound favourable if not a bit strong.
Dawson spends a good couple hours doing an orientation and safety
session with Greg and Rob. We are all on
the same page as far as attitudes toward safety and sailing. We have lots of knowledge to share and learn
and looking forward to the next week.
Cheers
Julie and Dawson
