Day 22 - Whistler and Rain

Today was a drive from Tofino to Whistler.   This consisted of a 2 hour rainy drive on scenic hwy 4 from Tofino to Nanaimo then a 2 hour ferry ride and then another 2 hour rainy scenic drive north on the Sea to Sky Highway.
Hwy 4 from Tofino.  Note the waterfalls on the right.  Water everywhere.
More waterfalls at the side of the road.
Note winding sea to sky hwy and barrier up top.  They fixed this hwy a lot in order to host the Olympics.

Once we got to Whistler we toured around the ski village in the rain.  The village is typical of a ski resort except for Olympic plaza which is where the Olympic medal ceremonies took place for the events held here in 2010 (or so I assume).  There is a big set of Olympic rings here in the square.

We had a nice sushi dinner with the Jagger family where we are staying.  Doug Jagger and Dawson were roomates in 4th year at Queen's university.  Hopefully the rain changes to snow overnight.  Otherwise we will be very wet.

Chat to you tomorrow.
